Experience
I used to mentor students when I was in high school, and also because of my major course I have been very active in helping students and knowing how to teach them. I have passed both the Praxis I and Praxis II (elementary content based test). I would like to be a tutor because it will give me more experience with children. I love working with kids, and the more experience I have would be better for my future as a teacher. I have taken courses in elementary math, reading, science, and music. All these courses taught me how to teach concepts to children as well as give me the knowledge about the subjects so that I can understand them as well. I have had multiple field experiences with my major where I have taught lessons to students as well as assessed whether or not the children were understanding it by giving tests, worksheets, or projects.

Hobbies
I used to be a cheerleader. I was captain of my hockey squad my senior year of high school. I would love to coach a cheerleading squad once I am placed into a school. I love watching my younger brother in his sports (baseball and hockey). I enjoy reading in my free time and try to read as much as I possibly can. I love to draw as well as write poetry. I love spending time with my family. I participate in intramural sports such as volleyball and softball.
